How we innovate

Senior researchers working with autonomy develop research projects in our mandated industry and technology areas. Projects may be conducted in partnership with academia or industry players. The research and development team develops resources, research assignments and projects.

In a laboratory environment, the Senior Researchers have freedom to develop research resources, conduct experiments, build prototypes, attend conferences, and research consumer trends as needed to drive the inventing process.

As our portfolio of inventions grows, in an ongoing, iterative review process, we determine the industries, technologies, and product areas where growth in the patent portfolio is likely to have the greatest strategic value. New areas for investigation should be incremental expansions of our existing areas of expertise, or be in areas where senior researcher resources can be recruited.

We validate ideas with recognized experts in distributed systems and with industry leaders.
